Holy Fools provides material support to those experiencing homelessness in the Yarra Ranges. The funds will support the fit-out of their drop-in centre.

Winner #20 - 20th May 2024

Elucidate Education

Elucidate Education supports young West Australian high school students by running educational workshops in rural parts of Western Australia to help students navigate the difficulties of high school and improve their mental well-being and attitude towards their studies. The Bulk Gives Back funds will be used to purchase educational resources for their upcoming trip to the Pilbara.

Bellarine Bears

The Bellarine Bears are the only baseball team on the Bellarine Peninsula, and they are particularly proud of their all-abilities baseball program. The $1000 from Bulk Gives Back will be used to purchase of baseballs for the 2024 season.

Winner #18 - 18th May 2024

Empowered Today

Empowered Today runs a comprehensive trauma-informed program that not only teaches the awareness, procedures and skills to help prevent violence but also incorporates tools for dealing with the kinds of anxiety and stress that people encounter regularly in their lives, that often lead to mental health problems. The funds will be used towards purchasing a laptop to support their travel to run facilitator training sessions.

The Rotary Club of Bellerive

The small (but mighty!) Rotary Club of Bellerive is offering mental health first aid training to a range of community volunteers, so they can recognise and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, and provide support until professional help is available. The funds will support them to train an additional 6 mental health first aiders.

Gosford Water Polo Club Inc

Gosford Water Polo Club is a local, grassroots club with a focus on an open and inclusive culture, and being welcoming and respectful of all who join them, both in and out of the water. The funds will be used to provide targeted financial support for registration and fees for coaches and referees with a particular focus on supporting females into and to continue in these roles.

Winner #15 - 15th May 2024

Reeling Veterans

Reeling veterans, is a special 'fishing for therapy' program designed to provide, confidence, mateship and reduce stigma. The program helps build self-esteem and support networks, enhances participant resilience and is suitable for everyone - no boating or fishing experience required! The funds will be used to upgrade seating on the boat to better accommodate amputees.

Meteors Football Club

Meteors Football Club is an all-inclusive, not for profit club that aims to make soccer accessible and fun for any skill level. They fundraise to cover as many costs as possible to keep kids playing soccer for free. The funds will be used to upgrade their goals.

Mirboo North Pony Club

Mirboo North Pony Club is a small, family-friendly club based at the Mirboo North Recreation Reserve that focuses on a fun learning experience to help young riders increase their skills and confidence with ponies in a safe and supportive environment. The $1000 will be used to support the repair of the facilities that were not covered by insurance after catastrophic storms caused significant damage in February 2024.

Winner #12 - 12th May 2024

Warringah Masters Swimming Inc

Warringah Master's Swimming Club provides a range of swimming and social activities to members whatever their swimming ability or the level of commitment of each individual member. They have members of all ages, their oldest swimmer is 97 this year and they are one of the few clubs world wide who can put together a 360 relay team of 4 members with an average age of 90! The $1000 will be used to provide coach training.

Share the Kindness

Share the Kindness supports families through the cancer treatment journey with dolls that support a conversation about hair loss during cancer treatment. The $1000 will support them to provide 75 dolls to cancer treatment and support centres in regional centres.

Winner #10 - 10th May 2024

Tathra Mountain Bike Club

The Tathra Mountain Bike Club is a grass roots community group managing and promoting 55kms of mountain bike trails in Tathra, the trails are named after local identities, locations and the history of the area. The funds will be used to upgrade from temporary trail signage after the 2018 bushfires destroyed them.

BGH Breakers

BGH Breakers is a sport and wellbeing community club focussed on providing social change through sport. They support kids from disadvantaged areas to participate, by lowering or eliminating the cost and barriers to entry. The funds will be used to pay for registration fees and gear for kids who would otherwise not be able to afford to participate.

Dubbo Filmmakers Inc

Dubbo Filmmakers Inc is a volunteer run, not-for-profit located in regional NSW dedicated to encouraging screen content creation in all its forms in Dubbo and the surrounding regions. It provides a community to bring together people looking for an outlet to meet other people and tell stories together. The $1,000 will go towards a collaborative short film project to be screened at this year's One Eye Film Festival.

In its 60th year, Vicis Netball is passionate about developing juniors and fostering a family orientated club that nurtures and mentors players to ensure that they can be confident players who are part of a netball community. The funds will be used for equipment and uniform.

Knockoffs Run Club

Knockoffs Run Club was established in October 2020, based on three primary constructs: Running, catching up with mates and having a beer. Each activity is enjoyable on its own merits, yet when combined together with passion and community, subsequently Knockoffs Run Club was born. Their mission statement is “To make running fun”.The funds will support the purchase of a branded tent to give a presence at local races, runs and events.

Wagga Wagga Urban Landcare Group

Wagga Wagga Urban Landcare seeks to play a role in the preservation and enhancement of their region’s natural assets through nature based activites with their local community. Some recent examples include outdoor movie nights, exploring the wildflowers of Galore Hill and enjoying a family BBQ at Wagga Beach; a clean-up at Flowerdale Lagoon, weed removal at Willans Hill, various planting days and working bees at Wilks Park. The funds will be used to deliver school holiday workshops, with one workshop developed specifically for children with special needs.

Different Strokes is a Sydney-based club that was formed in 2008, with the aim of providing a social and fitness-focused sporting outlet for the LGBTQI+ community, as well as their friends, family and supporters. The Bulk Gives Back funds will be used to support a team entering the World Championships in Italy!

Adelaide Bike Kitchen

Adelaide Bike Kitchen is a community-founded and volunteer run collective which operates a do-it-yourself bicycle workshop where anybody can come along and access the tools, parts and expertise they need to fix their own bike and keep riding. Their workshop has been running for more than 12 years and is a reliable and friendly “third place” which is non-judgemental and full of different people, tools and advice so they can learn to fix their bikes and help others. The funds will be used to upgrade their bathroom to provide full accessibility to support community collaborations in their space.

Walk It Off

Walk It Off is a grassroots community based mental health support initiative, independently supporting both men and women who may be struggling to cope with life’s pressures. The funds from Bulk Gives Back will be used to supply Walk it off shirts to participants and the community to strike up positive conversations about mental health and support.
